The town of Yelets of Lipetsk region for a long time is well known for its lace industry. Having appeared in Yelets by 1880 it had achieved its full development and then transferred to the county.

The lace industry in Yelets is one of a few remaining of its kind now. The traditions of lacemaking are supported by and developing on the ‘Yeletskie Kruzheva’ manufacture, which makes items of traditionally handcrafted laces as well as its own machine lace, table and bed linen, children wear and christening ceremony wear etc.
From 2014, the items of ‘Kruzhevnoi Krai’ LLC are registered in the Board of folk artistic industry within the administration of Lipetsk region and in the Ministry of industry and trade of the RF as a model of the item of folk and artistic industry and acknowledged as an artistic value.
The participation of the company in the organization of festivals and exhibitions dedicated to the preservation and development of folk crafts and is rewarded with diplomas and awards.
